Dan Kozar

Dan Kozar was born and raised in Welland, Ontario. At the age of 12, he became inspired by one of his heroes, George Harrison, to pursue his endeavor of becoming a professional guitarist. Dan's father, a mandolin player, encouraged him to learn to read & play music to attain his goals. With years of studying & performing, Dan acquired a vast armory of technique and musicality in the fields of composition & stage performance. In addition to studying at Eastman School of Music Summer Jazz Studies, Dan attributes his distinctive command of the instrument to his studies with Lloyd Garber, Reg Schwager & Ed Bickert at the Banff School of Fine Arts. A guitar teacher both in the Niagara Region and Toronto area, his accomplishments have led him to work on independent & promotional films and later this year, Dan will be recording with Ghanaian born singer/composer, Holly Boadi.
