While growing up in New Orleans, singer-songwriter Bianca Love recalls listening to tons of Motown, soul, gospel, bebop and blues music as well as soaking in the brilliant brass bands from the city. However, being brought up in a conservative Indian household came with its challenges and dismay towards the arts. “I became rebellious, determined to create sounds that mimic those that I heard all around me,” says Love.

Bianca Love stands as a seasoned artist, gracing the world stage with her vocals, trumpet, and guitar prowess.

She hails from the vibrant city of New Orleans, where her musical journey began. Influenced by a multitude of genres, including the music of Charlie Parker, blues, soul, and the traditional sounds of New Orleans, Bianca draws inspiration from legendary figures such as Betty Carter, Sarah Vaughan, Clifford Brown, Etta Jones, Dinah Washington, Miles Davis, Nicholas Payton, Mahalia Jackson, and countless others.

Bianca's deep appreciation for the Black American Music tradition was nurtured in the unique cultural crucible of New Orleans, shaping her artistic identity from a young age. Her path to musical excellence began at Eleanor McMain Secondary School, where she became a member of the Grammy-winning gospel choir. In 2011, she journeyed to India, reconnecting with her familial roots while studying at the Calcutta School of Music and Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music.

A professional musician since the age of 16, Bianca ventured beyond borders to perform in India's major metropolitan cities—Calcutta, Mumbai, and Pune—immersing herself in the blues. Her return to New Orleans in 2017 marked a pivotal moment in her career, as she continued her musical education under the mentorship of luminaries like pianist Jesse Mcbride (Tulane Jazz Professor and leader of Jesse Mcbride and the Next Generation) and trumpeter Ashlin Parker (Ellis Marsalis, Trumpet Mafia).

She debuted at Jazzfest New Orleans with Jesse Mcbride and the Next Generation in 2018.

Throughout her journey, Bianca has had the privilege of sharing the stage and recording with a constellation of revered artists in cities like New Orleans, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, and LA. Collaborations with musicians like Maurice Brown, Marcus Gilmore, Ben Williams, Takahiro Izumikawa, Lawrence Fields, Michael Ode, Joe Blaxx, Kermit Ruffins and a host of others have enriched her musical tapestry. In New York City, the illustrious Johnny O'Neal bestowed upon her the title of his "blues daughter" after hearing her performance at Small's.

In 2020, Bianca relocated to Los Angeles, where she organized a weekly jam in the heart of the city, fostering a sense of community and musical camaraderie. Today, she calls New York City home, continuing to captivate audiences with her unwavering passion for music.
