Anna Rakita

Anna Rakita is a violinist, composer, arranger, and bandleader whose music blends contemporary jazz, fusion, and classical influences. Born into a family of musicians, she began playing the violin at the age of five and graduated with honours from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She began her career in jazz fusion, performing with Vagif Zeynalov and Rishad Shafi (Gunesh band). Since then, she has collaborated with musicians including Anton Davidyants, Gergo Borlai, Marco Minnemann, Kaz Rodriguez, Vardan Ovsepyan, Veronika Stalder, U. Rajesh, Ranjit Barot, Shrinidhi Ghatate, Evgeny Pobozhiy, and Peta Lukács, among many other artists, performing at festivals and concert venues across Europe and Asia. As a bandleader, she presents her original music in a variety of formats, from duo performances to larger ensembles, adapting each project to the musicians and artistic context. Her debut album, Only Love, brings together an international ensemble performing her original compositions inspired by contemporary jazz, fusion, rock and world music.
