Alfie Ryner

« After five years of intense rehearsing, gigging, changing and re-arranging songs, live-testing, abandoning, approving, and a long thought process concerning the best way to lay down our music on record, we decided to work with the magicians Olivier Cussac and Arthur Ower and record live at Condorcet Studios, Toulouse. The only way of keeping the essence of our sound intact is to play together, allow a tune to live from start to finish, with no “re-recording”, no isolation booths and no headphones. We then chose the versions in which the global sound was most exciting, in order to blend them into a coherent and meaningful stream of music. That is how “II” came to life, a record which we are proud of, an album that enabled us to appreciate every single aspect of a collaborative work. We had a great time creating this music together, just like a great concert! »
