Her latest critically acclaimed duo album, Pictures in Time, made it onto the Nominating Ballot for the 2023 GRAMMY Awards and received rave reviews from All About Jazz and Contemporary Fusion Reviews, among others.  In 2022, Sjobeck co-produced and composed/recorded the music for the short dance film Silhouette which won "Best Performance" at the Experimental, Dance, & Music Film Festival 2023 and was selected as a finalist for "Best Dance Program, Film or Documentary" at the California Music Video Awards.  One of her compositions was also recognized at the 2023 Jazz Education Network Conference.  Her duo piece, "Blue Light", was selected for the Young Composers Showcase which she performed for the conference in Orlando, Florida.

Sjobeck has performed at esteemed music festivals, jazz society concerts, and jazz clubs including Dazzle (Denver, CO), Smalls Jazz Club (New York City, NY), The Velvet Note (Atlanta, GA), The 1905 (Portland, OR), The Royal Room (Seattle, WA), the Gene Harris Jazz Festival, the UNC•Greeley Jazz Festival, and the Commencement Bay Jazz Festival. Sjobeck is also currently on faculty at Boise State University. She began her professional career while attending the Manhattan School of Music on scholarship and studying under some of the world’s finest jazz pianists. After graduating, she began teaching at the famed jazz program at the University of Northern Colorado as a teaching assistant while attaining her master’s degree.

Her unique sound is comprised of a voice all her own which relies on nuanced intricacies paired with familiarity, whether from pop music, world music, modern jazz, or straight-ahead jazz.  One of her regular sidemen summarized it as “the combination of Post-Impressionistic painting, a jigsaw puzzle, childhood, and groove.”
