Alejandro Montiel

Described by Soundboard Magazine as a "flawless musician, filled to the brim with polished technique," guitarist Alejandro Montiel’s performance career has taken him throughout North America, China, Mexico, Central America, and Europe both as a solo artist and as a founding member of the acclaimed Texas Guitar Quartet. Dr. Montiel is on faculty at Sam Houston State University and Lone Star College-Montgomery where he directstheir respective guitar programs. A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory and the University of Texas at Austin, he is a highly-sought after performer of new works as well as arranger of classical repertoire. Alejandro resides in Houston with his family.
