Abraomas Stupelis

Abraomas Stupelis - Lithuanian interwar violinist, was one of the first jazz performers in Lithuania. He was the head of the jazz orchestra established at Kaunas Radiofone . The latter orchestra is considered the first official jazz big band in Lithuania.

He performed in Kaunas, led various ensembles, whose performances mostly took place in restaurants. In 1940 He founded a jazz orchestra at Kaunas Radiophone, which performed both jazz standards and improvisations. The orchestra's activities stopped just a year later, in 1941 at the beginning of the Second World War
