About Me

Drummer

Drummer Jeff Ferguson maintained a presence on the Seattle jazz and improvised music scene a few decades ago, participating with groups such as the Al Hood Quartet, Holus Bolus, Seattle Creative Music Orchestra, One Hand Clapping and numerous ad hoc ensembles. “Not Quiet Rite”, a recording by the Al Hood Quartet is considered one of Seattle’s best jazz recordings. He lent support of the music thru his involvement with the fledgling Earshot Jazz organization, as a curator of events at the fabled Ditto and other venues, and as the reforming music director at KBCS radio. He pulled the tubs out of the attic 15 years ago after a lengthy hiatus and is currently performing weekly with the Triangular Jazztet and the Westside Trio at the Alley in West Seattle every Sunday and Monday.
