I love jazz because... I was first exposed to jazz... I met [Lennie Tristano and Vinnie Burke The best show I ever attended was.Sal Mosca/Warne Marsh at the Village Vanguard The first jazz record I bought was Bird. My advice to new listeners - never forget Prez, Bird, Tristano, Charlie Christian, Oscar Pettiford, Bud, Billie, Fats Navarro, Warne Marsh, and Sal Mosca. Listen and sing.
