It’s time for another female electric bassist with monster chops. Born in Mumbai, Mohini Dey started on bass at age 4. She has played with Steve Vai, Stanley Clarke, Simon Philips, Alex Lifeson, Mike Stern and others. Mohini most sensationally shows off her technique on jazz-rock and funk-fusion grooves. It’s so hard to play this fast and in tune on fretless! For more "how" and "wow," search for her extended interview with Dey and popular YouTube interviewer Rick Beato, "Mohini Dey: The Bassist Everyone's Talking About."
