About the Album
"There Is a Chance" is the seventh track off the new live recording Don't let It Stop!, a set of nine powerful songs performed by a remarkable trio featuring Petr Cancura on saxophone, Charlie Hunter on the Big6 and Geoff Clapp on drums. This album was recorded at On the One Music - a loft performance space in an old part of Greensboro, North Carolina across the street from a railroad where the freight train rattles by every few hours. The band played the same set of music three nights in a row in front of a live audience. The crowds were intimate and rambunctious in just the right way, which in turn results in an inspired live performance. The compositions, written by Cancura, are exquisite explorations of melody with a nod to soul, jazz and groove.
