About the Album
Opening Elegy, Sound Liberation’s ninth studio album, “Source” by Gene Pritsker sets the tone with an angular, genre-blurring dance between saxophone, guitar, bass, and drums. A sinuous melody weaves through shifting rhythms, at once familiar and unpredictable. Oliver Marec’s saxophone sings with lyricism, while Pritsker’s guitar ignites in a solo full of fire and flair—both carried by the taut, driving undercurrent of Clemens Rofner on bass and Stefan Kemminger on drums, whose groove pulses like a heartbeat beneath the chaos and calm.
