From Montral-based poet and jazz vocalist Jeannette Lambert's latest CD, Sand Underfoot (Jazz From Rant), which explores humankind's interaction with its environment and the natural world. This track is inspired by her father's family history and their impassioned relationship with Indonesia. The disc features bassist Barre Phillips, drummer Michel Lambert, and special guest, pianist Paul Bley.
