About the Album

Remedios La Bella pays homage to one of the most mesmerizing scenes depicted in Gabriel García Márquez's prize winning album, Cien Años de Soledad (One Hundred Years of Solitude). This ballad depicts Remedios who embodies all that is good and pure in human nature. She's of such spirit that one day while folding clothes she is called home and ascends into the sky, never to return. The voice of Remedios is that of Darryl Yokley's daughter which makes this a special track on the album to the saxophonist and band leader.
