About the Album

Introducing the eclectic woodwind, cello and piano trio called Meraki; the song "Peysuveður" is a swinging and cheerful song about the first day of Icelandic spring when one doesn't need a coat to go outside. The song features walking cello basslines, a dynamic piano solo and a powerful soli arranged for the trio, lead by the strong flute melody. Peysuveður was composed collectively by all three members of Meraki trio in preparation for their first performance at Reykjavik Jazz Festival.
