A track that draws the listener right into the story from the very first notes. Beautiful, sublime, just so damn pretty. Entire album is a fantastic mix of ECM-like Jazz and Icelandic Folk Music. Highly recommended.

About the Album

An Icelandic folk song from the critically acclaimed Land Mins Fodur (The Land of My Father). Special Jury Prize at the 2012 Icelandic Music Awards. The music on the album is a mixture of Icelandic folk songs and Einar’s own originals. The album features some of Iceland’s foremost musicians as well as six of the country’s most notable singers. The six originals are set to poems written by some of Iceland’s most beloved poets, including Nobel-Prize Winner Halldór Laxness.
