About the Album
This organ trio from Trondheim released their debut album “Directions” and celebrated with a concert during Jazzfest. The three musicians started within the American organ jazz tradition with references to artists like George Benson and Dr. Lonnie Smith, but have gradually developed their own, modern style – their own direction. The original songs the band serves up are melodic, hard swinging and brimful of soul. Øyvind Nypan: guitar; Daniel Formo: Hammond organ; Truls Rønning: drums.
