Album Description
"What music, what kind of music, what styles will be played in the 25th century? What new music will people in the
25th century be listening to? How will music evolve into the future?"
These questions are what made Billie Davies start this project she called No Boundaries, Music for the 25th century,
Music For The Future.
An ever evolving free improvisation from a deeply natural, instinctive, intuitive perspective.
A spontaneous expression through sound, exploring new landscapes, new forms, free from any constraints.
The avant-garde of two great musicians, Billie Davies and Branden Lewis, expressing human nature.
About The Recording
An Avant-garde, Free Improvisation, Beyond Jazz, Electronic studio recording that is experimental in nature.
Produced by Cobra Basement, 10/11/2025 and to be released for Digital distribution, Vinyl and CD on demand on
12/10/2025.
The recording in 2021 and the re-mixing and re-mastering in October of 2025 was done by Mike Davies.
This first in a series of releases has Billie Davies playing electronic drums, percussion and electronic piano with
Branden Lewis playing trumpet, digitized trumpet sounds and digital keys, synth waves and loops and featuring
Damani Butler playing Electronic Loops and Waves on TizWaditIz.
A little less than a year before Billie Davies left New Orleans for the Florida beaches in 2022, she had started working
on a project with Branden Lewis and Damani Butler. This music was created late October 2021 as a proof of concept
for Billie Davies' project "No Boundaries, Music For The 25th Century", a demo, recorded the second day of a 2 two day
session where all musicians were together, feeling each other out, experimenting with sound and equipment. The
mixing was done to provide sound balance n clarity, nothing was changed to the intensity, composition or what or
how something was played... and Billie did the cutting and Mike did the remixing and remastering of the pieces that
now have become the album "2455 (Music For The Future)" to be released and distributed Digital (streaming and
download) and on Vinyl and CD on demand.
After listening to all the freely improvised music created spontaneously in the original demo suite for a few years, she
had called it "Pandemos", Billie Davies could not ignore the fact how very special certain tracks of this music were, she
also heard the influence of the Covid pandemic of 2020/2021 in how it was played, and that it needed to be released
and distributed so all people would be exposed to it.
The tracks:
01. Everything Flows - 03:08 - Billie Davies, Branden Lewis
All things in the universe are in a constant state of flux and change.
In this universe we live our own life according to our own individuality. We are always connected to the universe and
are a part of the overall flow of nature and life and the universe.
02. Blue Moon Dance - 07:15 - Billie Davies, Branden Lewis
Imagine the full moon, a bonfire on the beach and it's a blue moon!! The music starts, the rhythm catches your ears, the
energies just flow and you start dancing...
03. TizWaditIz - 04:14 - Billie Davies, Branden Lewis, Damani Butler
It is what it is ... the past has been, we cannot change it, and the future still has to happen so we cannot do anything
about that either, we can only move toward it, but we have no guarantees that we will like what will happen. All there
is... is today, now, this moment, therefore ... It is what it is.
04. Origins - 11:03 - Billie Davies, Branden Lewis
The point at which something begins its course or existence. The origins of human life, of our universe. The origins of
us, the one thing we wonder about in so many different ways, the one big question in life that eventually becomes an
answer, so we know what makes us what we are.
05. On'nOn'nOn - 04:02 - Billie Davies, Branden Lewis
Life moves on and on and on and does not wait for us to be in a certain position or feel a certain way to start living. Life
moves on and on and on.
06. Love And Peace - 03:24 - Billie Davies, Branden Lewis
Surrender to the universal energy and nature, surrender to peace and harmony and live your life. Surrender and accept
yourself, who you are and who you should be all along. Live, be you, embrace your life and surrender to the universal
energy that only wants who you truly are.

Branden James Lewis (trumpet, digitized trumpet sounds, digital keys, synth waves, loops)
Branden played trumpet on the recording of "Hand In Hand In The Hand Of The Moon" by Billie Davies in New
Orleans in 2015 and performed with her band Billie Davies and The Bad Boyzzzz in the horn section around New
Orleans in 2015/2016.
Branden Lewis has been leading the world-renowned Preservation Hall Jazz Band since 2022. He has music in his
heart and soul, and although he never planned on playing music for a living, he always loved playing the trumpet. His
grandfather, James Victor Lewis, is a Grammy award-winning sax player famous for his role in one of New Orleans’
most iconic R&B bands, Li’l Millet & His Creoles. James moved to Los Angeles around 1960 to escape some of the
bitter realities of being a black man in Louisiana at that time. Despite growing up in Los Angeles, Branden's
grandfather never let the family forget their New Orleans roots.
Branden was raised playing trumpet in church, marching band, and for one of the top youth orchestras in Los Angeles.
In 2012, he moved to New Orleans to truly discover his career as a musician.
Immediately taken under the wing of Delfeayo Marsalis, with regular gigs on Frenchman Street’s “modern jazz proving
ground” Snug Harbor, Branden quickly worked his way up to collaborating with artists like Dee Dee Bridgewater and
recording on the Grammy-nominated Bobby Rush ft. Dr. John album “Decisions” in 2014. He is a co-creator of the
international Trumpet Mafia collective based in New Orleans and began touring with the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra
in 2015. After joining the Preservation Hall Jazz Band in 2016 and recording the album “So It Is”, Branden recorded his
first album as a bandleader entitled ‘BLQ’ at the historic Esplanade Studios in 2017.

completed a library of works in the fields of art, experimental music and lyricism often combining the three as he feels.
His accomplishments include Audio productions in the genres of underground hip hop, experimental electronic music,
audio art, sound experimentation projects and even coining and naming his own genre, "Crack Rock". Short and
medium length video productions in the categories of music video, installation and project documentation/presentation,
