About this image

Joanna Eden has written over 60 original songs, was a featured judge on BBC One’s singing programme ‘All Together Now’ and is a sought-after vocal coach. Her appearance at the Proms performing a duet at the Royal Albert Hall with one of her former students, Sam Smith (yes, that Sam Smith) has further established her on the UK music scene as an artist of impressive talent and creativity. Her live shows combine the energy and rhythmic virtuosity of Latin music with the intimacy and honesty of her acclaimed jazz-influenced originals. Just back from a performing, writing and recording month in Brazil and Uruguay, Joanna is accompanied by some of the leading lights of the Latin & jazz scenes: Andres Lafone-bass (Airto Moreira, Snowboy), Guille Hill (Mica Paris, Tom Jones)-guitar and George Double (Shirley Bassey, Mica Paris)-drums. A really lovely, feel-good gig. “Joanna is the reason I sing” Sam Smith; "The UK's answer to Diana Krall" Time Out; “Brilliant” Jamie Cullum; “melody, mystery and bite” Mojo Magazine www.joannaeden.net
