Silje Nergaard in concert at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. Singer and composer Silje Nergaard grew up in Hamar, Norway. At age 16 she entered the stage joining a jam session at Norways Molde Jazz Festival with a band comprising of ex-Jaco Pastorious musicians. National jazz journalists applauded the talented artist. While trying to be signed in Oslo, she ended up in London.
