About this image

"In the Autumn Years" is the title track of the album of the same name. The song was in the file of Nat King Cole to be recorded, but he passed on before it happened. The genre of this recording of the melody from the song "In the Autumn Years" is jazz-pop with classical-music influences. This rendition of Charles Nathan's 1953 melody intends to be beautiful. It begins with some impressionism and then presents the first chorus of the song, rubato. There's a small, in-tempo interlude that enables the second chorus, which is lightly swung. The ending is big, with hints of Liszt and Roger Williams (lol). We hope you love it!
