Diego Figueiredo is a Brazilian jazz guitarist with virtuosic talent and a refreshing, energetic style that places him among the greatest guitarists in the world. Diego joined an all star band of Latin artists for a unique event at Palm Springs Art Museum's Annenberg Theater in late fall of 2017. "Jazz Meets Latin Jazz" is the brainchild of Marcel Castaneda, a manager and producer of some top Latin Jazz artists. Based in the Coachella Valley, Marcel wanted to bring his best musicians from the Latin Jazz world together with Western jazz artists creating a multicultural music experience. This inaugural event featured Carol Welsman, Juno award winning Canadian singer/songwriter and pianist, for the first set. The second set was led by pianist Chuchito Valdes and featured almost a small orchestra of master musicians in the Latin Jazz genre. Diego sat in on a few numbers in the first set and was a featured player throughout the second set.
