Oh Happy Day!

Like others, AAJ HQ was caught up in the pageantry and spectacle of yesterday's Inaugural celebration. We even tuned into the Celebrating America special hosted by Tom Hanks. What stood out to me was Vice President Kamala Harris' speech, to quote... "We not only dream, we do." and "A great experiment takes great determination. The will to do the work and then the wisdom to keep refining, keep tinkering, keep perfecting..." That sounds a lot like All About Jazz to me.

So with refining, tinkering and perfecting in mind, here is what we are currently working on to build a more perfect AAJ:

Modernizing our platform

We've reached the midway point of the framework upgrade project but still have a few months ahead of us. Once the project is complete, we'll be in a position to explore new & exciting ways to expand how we support jazz and build our community.

Improving Jazz Near You to better distribute and promote streamed events

Since streamed events can be viewed globally, we decided to place them in our near 300 regional calendars, so a livestreamed event that takes place in San Francisco will be listed in our New York City, Paris, London, etc. calendars.
