World reknowned Top female Jazz guitarist hospitalized in Las Vegas

Mary Kaye, leader of the famed Mary Kaye Trio and namesake of the Fender “Mary Kaye Stratocaster" guitar, was hospitalized this month with congenetial heart failure. Mostly known for the first group to open up the lounge scene in the late 1940's in Las Vegas, Nevada and first to have the hit recording of the Rogers & Hart standard “My Funny Valentine", is currently on the road to recovery and should be back home by Christmas. Andres Segovia has said, “Mary Kaye is the best female Jazz guitarist he'd ever seen." She has played with Tal Farlow, Monk Montgomery, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and many others.
