WINTER: An Origin Records Holiday Collection (Origin 82408)

Some of the top jazz artists in the Northwest (and prominent voices in the Origin Records catalog), gathered together in early November to record music in celebration of the season. Combining old holiday favorites like “Let it Snow," “Greensleeves," and “O' Christmas Tree" with more reflective, ancient pieces such as “Coventry Carol," and “Lo, How A Rose E're Blooming," and modern originals by guitarist Dave Peterson, “Winter" is a contemplative, lively, smooth-flowing mix for year 'round listening. Featuring Han Teuber on saxophones and piano, Dave Peterson on guitar and piano, Jeff Johnson on bass, and John Bishop on drums.
