REVEAL WILL MIRROR ACTUAL SET TIMES FOR OCTOBER 28, 29 AND 30 IN NEW ORLEANS CITY PARK
This year The Voodoo Experience will once again change things up with a weekend-long reveal of the 2011 set times via their social networks. In another first, Voodoo producers Rehage Entertainment have formed a unique partnership with Red Bull that will enhance the weekend's experience for music fans, both on and off site.
Based on the success of the line-up reveal, which was unveiled exclusively through the use of social networks, this weekend Voodoo followers will have the first look at the 2011 set times. For the first time in its 13-year history, the VOODOO schedule will be announced in real time mirroring the actual set times for annual Halloween musical celebrationFriday, October 28, Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30.
The unveiling kicked off Friday, October 7 at 10:15 AM (CT) with the first two acts on the VOODOO billAchachay and Natalie Mae & Her Unturned Tricks and will continue through Sunday, October 9 at 8:00 PM (CT). The set times will be unveiled via artist video clips on Voodoo's Facebook and Twitter sites. Look for the full line-up to be displayed on all the Voodoo sites early Monday (October 10).
At the same time, in a unique collaboration, Voodoo producers have partnered with Red Bull on the talent for Le Plur, Voodoo's dedicated dance spacedormant since 2004which celebrates an amazing list of electronic talent from around the world.
In the this two year deal (2011 and 2012) Red Bull will work with the Rehage Entertainment team on talent for Voodoo; it will feature a variety of artists from the Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) family, along with other artists from the electronic world. In addition, Red Bull will utilize these innovative festival performances, band interviews and intimate workshops in New Orleans for RBMA radio.
