Victor Wooten Joins Mike Stern To Play Nov.-Dec. Dates In New York & Los Angeles

Fusion Summit Goes Coast-To-Coast!

Grammy-nominated guitarist Mike Stern, a noted solo artist and veteran of bands such as Miles Davis, Steps Ahead, and The Brecker Brothers, returns to Iridium with a favorite musical guest: bassist Victor Wooten, best known for his tenure in Bela Fleck.

Earlier this year the incendiary, funky fusion of Stern and Wooten -- with drummer Dennis Chambers -- sold out a week of dates at Yoshi's in Oakland, California.

Starting November 26 (through December 1) Stern and Wooten bring that excitement to New York for the first time at Iridium, 1650 Broadway @ 51st St. (212.582.2121 for tickets & reservations).

For the week at Iridium Mike & Vic will be joined by special guest drummer Dave Weckl, a leader in his own right as well as a veteran of various Chick Corea bands. Saxophonist Bob Franceschini completes the quartet.

In Los Angeles (December 3 -8) Stern and Wooten will wail with a different lineup featuring drummer Lionel Cordew and saxophonist Bob Sheppard at Catalina Bar & Grill (323.466.2210)

This mini-tour finishes in Seattle on December 11-12 as Stern brings a quartet consisting of bassist Lincoln Goines, Cordew, and Franceschini to Seattle's newest jazz venue, About the Music (206.762.55180).
