Trumpeter, composer and bandleader Terence Blanchard has inked a deal with Blue Note Records and is currently putting the final touches on his debut recording for the label, which is tentatively scheduled for a release in August or September of this year. The record is co-produced by Blanchard and Michael Cuscuna, and features his working band: pianist Aaron Parks, bassist Brandon Owens, drummer Eric Harland, guitarist Lionel Loueke and saxophonist Brice Winston.
