TODD GORDON: THE SINATRA SONGBOOK

In just a few short years, Todd Gordon has become recognised as one of Britain's leading jazz and swing singers. Working with top musicians, his audiences range from intimate jazz club settings to large-scale concert halls and festivals. In 2003, he was booked to open for Dionne Warwick during her UK tour which marked the beginning of his musical breakthrough.

Steeped in the American Songbook tradition, he was the first-ever Scottish male vocalist to be booked for the London Jazz Festival. He’s performed at many UK leading venues including Ronnie Scott’s, The Royal Opera House, The Sage, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Birmingham Town Hall, as well as The Plaza and Algonquin Hotels in NYC where he sang “I've Got You Under My Skin” together with actor Christopher Walken. Gordon performs regularly in the USA, Germany, Austria, Belgium, South Korea, Israel, Netherlands and Italy. He has also appeared in joint concerts with Jacqui Dankworth, Claire Martin, Elaine Delmar, Tina May, Barb Junger, Ian Shaw, Eddi Reader, Carol Kidd, Juliet Roberts, Barbara Morrison, Clairdee and the BBC Big Band.

Additionally, he is also developing a growing following in South East Asia following one of his recordings being licensed as a theme song for a highly popular TV series in that region. His tracks are play-listed on radio stations across the world including Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Japan, India,Indonesia, USA, Switzerland.

There is one album due for release in 2013: recorded in Seoul with Korean musicians, working title: “Made In Korea”. His newest big band album has been released in November 2012 in the UK (worldwide release planned for 2013), with the chart-topping RAF Squadronaires in aid of the charity “Help for Heroes”.
