Nellie Monk, wife of Thelonoius Monk and mother of TS Monk succuumed to a cerebral hemorrage on Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at Lenox Hill Hospital at 2:17 pm. Surrounded by family and friends she leaves one granddaughter, Sierra, one grand son, Thelonious IV and a devoted daughter-in-law Gale Grain Monk.
