The Clarke/Duke Project May 25 in Durham, North Carolina

DURHAM, N.C. - The Carolina Theatre of Durham, Inc. will present THE CLARKE/DUKE PROJECT on Thursday, May 25 at 8 p.m. at The Carolina Theatre's Fletcher Hall.

Tickets are $35 and $30 with a Pick-3 Series discount, and are available at the Carolina Theatre box office at 309 West Morgan Street in Downtown Durham from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Friday and weekends from 1:30 p.m.-9 p.m., by phone at (919) 560-3030 or online at www.carolinatheatre.org .

THE CLARKE/DUKE PROJECT is the reunion of two of the most notable jazz musicians of the last three decades. Bass player Stanley Clarke and keyboard player George Duke combine decades of musical experience to weave eclectic, memorable jazz-funk melodies. Both have toured extensively and are credited on dozens of recordings and film scores. Since they teamed up in 1981, The Clarke/Duke Project has recorded one live album and three studio albums, and penned a top-40 hit, “Sweet Baby". These world-renowned instrumentalists will present a sampling of their work from the last 25 years when they kick off their 2006 tour this spring.

THE CLARKE/DUKE PROJECT performs at The Carolina Theatre of Durham on Thursday, May 25 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on March 20 at the Carolina Theatre Box Office, 309 West Morgan Street in Downtown Durham or by phone at (919) 560-3030.
