The Blue Note Celebrates New Year's Eve With Chick Corea New Trio

Featuring Avishai Cohen and Jeff Ballard And Special Guest GARY BURTON

The Blue Note salutes the new year with an exceptional New Year's Eve concert showcasing the Chick Corea New Trio featuring Avishai Cohen and Jeff Ballard with vibraphone legend Gary Burton as special guest, Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at 7pm, 10pm, and 1am. Parts of the 10pm concert will be broadcast live on WBGO as part of the New Year's Eve special presentation Toast of the Nation. The Chick Corea New Trio will continue to perform at the Blue Note through Sunday, January 5, 2003 at regular show times, 8:00pm and 10:30pm.

This year's holiday lineup will also include a one-of-a-kind East Meets West Japanese Christmas featuring Jazz City Four, Yoshiaki Masuo s new Quartet, on Tuesday, December 24, 2002; the Kuni Mikami Trio with Stephanie Clark on Wednesday, December 25, 2002; and popular singer Monday Michiru on Thursday, December 26, 2002. In addition, after a series of triumphant Blue Note concerts in early November, vocal group extraordinaire The Manhattan Transfer returns by popular demand Friday, December 27 through Sunday, December 29, 2002.
