The Bad Plus Take Manhattan (And Brooklyn)

The Bad Plus has added five New York City dates and a special live WFUV (90.7FM) radio appearance to their spring tour schedule. The shows begin April 1st and will each take place in a different venue throughout the city before concluding on May 2nd. The NYC performances will be part of the trio's first tour in support of their critically acclaimed Columbia Records release “These Are The Vistas," and follows their highly-successful Village Vanguard residency in February.

Featuring Reid Anderson (bass), Ethan Iverson (piano) and Dave King (drums), The Bad Plus is a self-described “power piano trio." “These Are The Vistas" - produced by Tchad Blake - marks the band's second release and major label debut. The album's 10 tracks include originals from each band member as well as three of their trademark deconstructions of pop songs - Nirvana's “Smells Like Teen Spirit," Blondie's “Heart of Glass" and Aphex Twin's “Flim."
