The seventh edition of the 7 Virtual Jazz Club contest officially begins today.

2022 Categories
- Under 25: soloists and bands aged 25 years or younger. All nationalities welcome, provided the artist is fully independent (i.e. no booking agent, no recording company or publisher);
- Pros & Amateurs: all other musicians not belonging to the Under 25 category.
How to apply
To enter the contest, soloists and groups pay a small registration fee (waived for Ukraine musicians) then submit a video performance. Both original and non-original pieces are accepted. Entries will be judged by a panel of 32 international jazz experts including respected journalists, musicians and educators in the field.
Prizes & Awards
Prizes go to the top two in each category and include cash, live concerts at Jazz Club Ferrara, Urbino Jazz Club, Rome Jazz Club and others; a workshop and masterclass at the Conservatorium Maastricht and Conservatorium van Amsterdam; representation by booking agency JazzMedia and More Agency + a paid live concert at jazzahead! CLUB NIGHT 2023 and one year artistic consulting by In Vivo Agency; professional CD and video recording by Jazztone Studios (Spain); as well as special prizes by All About Jazz, Jazzfuel and many others. Prizes will also rewarded to best soloist, best arrangement, best original composition; and an innovation prize.
New Judges
This year's expert panel will be guided by Fernando Rodriguez De Mondesert who is the founder and artistic director of Jazz en Dominicana.
