What The Critic's Are Saying...

“The best kept secret in straight ahead jazz circa 2006." --All Music Guide “Judgment is packed with memorable pieces, including a pair of edgy, show-stopping duo numbers, with Garzone and Zimmer sparring like they'd been doing so forever..."Cut Off" is a Jazz Messenger-style tune featuring engaging turns by Frahm, trumpeter Michael Rodriguez, Dodo and Zimmer that leaves listeners wanting more." --Downbeat Magazine “Take note pronto of this young up-and-coming drummer/leader on his second disc. Rooted in hard bop, albeit shaded with modern harmonies, the quintet is winning while Zimmer's drumming boasts a crisp, swinging command with judicious musicality." --Modern Drummer Magazine

“Zimmer and David Wong frame a rhythmic infrastructure that is not only enticing but also indespencible. More than an hour of spirited blowing that is straight ahead, swinging, and recommended." --Cadence Magazine
