University Programs will be presenting a unique opportunity to listen to and learn about jazz through a combination of lecture and performance by Pentomino at 6pm today in the Arkansas Student Union Connections Lounge.
Pentomino is comprised of current and former UA students. Members include William Hobbs on piano, CJ Weatherford on tenor saxophone, Derek Jones on bass, Drew Packard on guitar, and Chris Wylie on drums.
Their repertoire is broad, ranging from original pieces to Claude Debussy to Charlie Parker. Tonight's performance will also feature special guest Michael Howland on trumpet.
