Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra With Wynton Marsalis Continues United In Swing Tour In Summer 2002

In Summer 2002, the LINCOLN CENTER JAZZ ORCHESTRA (LCJO) WITH WYNTON MARSALIS, the world-renowned resident orchestra of Jazz at Lincoln Center (J@LC), will extend its United in Swing Tour internationally.

Hailed as “the greatest large jazz ensemble working today” by The Chicago Tribune, the LCJO will kick off the Summer 2002 Tour with three outdoor performances in New York City. On July 4, the LCJO will perform a free afternoon concert at Historic Battery Park, also featuring the Juilliard Jazz Ensemble and the debut performance of the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra. The concert will be broadcast live nationwide as a Talk of the Nation special, “Still Standing Tall,” on NPR
