Dubbed Losing Feeling," the four track EP will be released on vinyl and as a digital download, but will not be getting the CD treatment. Sub Pop is offering the vinyl pre-order for $8. On Oct. 6, the vinyl price will increase to $10, and the digital files will be available for $4.
No Age released its Sub Pop debut, Nouns," last year, and it was the act's first release to crack the U.S. pop chart, squeaking in at No. 196. Losing Feeling," for its part, captures No Age at its more delicate and melodic. Aim at the Airport" fashions an instrumental lullaby after an opening minute of creaks and background noise, gradually swelling to a warm bed of fuzz. Genie" strikes a more forlorn mood, with the vocals of Dean Spunt and Randy Randall crisscrossing each other over relatively soft guitar streaks -- melodies that feel as if they may dissolve at a moment's notice.
No Age will appear this weekend at Chicago's Lollapalooza. The act also has a Sept. 5 date in Los Angeles as part of the rebranded FYF Fest.
