James Carter Quintet: Dr. Lonnie Smith, Steve Turre, Rodney Jones, Eli Fountain

By far one of the most exciting and talented saxophonists on the scene today, Carter first gained international exposure when he attracted the attention of trumpeter Wynton Marsalis in 1985 and joined his quintet. He arrived in the Big Apple in 1990 and quickly started making a name for himself, performing with Lester Bowie, Julius Hemphill
