NEW YORK - The Second Annual State College Jazz Festival will kick off on Friday, July 21st with music beginning at 5:00pm at Central Parklet continuing through the evening and all day Saturday, July 22nd at the Allen Street Stage. New York-based jazz vocalist Catherine Dupuis returns to her hometown to produce the SCJF, involving some of the best jazz talent in the centre region together with nationally-acclaimed jazz stars.

Michael Musillami to Unveil New All-Star Quartet in September with Fragile Forms

On September 12th, Playscape Recordings will release Fragile Forms (PSR#030506), the first recording from Michael Musillami's Dialect, featuring guitarist/ composer Michael Musillami, pianist Peter Madsen, bassist Drew Gress and drummer Matt Wilson. A collection of four established leaders that hopes to tour as a working ensemble, this group performs Musillami's newest original compositions as well as reinventing his previously recorded material.
