Premiere of the Complete Visual Jazz Composition " A_men Basquiat " with Jason Moran by T.E. Priemon

"A_men Basquiat" explores the non-standard use of the jazz composition. This work was composed using the medium of Photonality, which basically is a visual music composition. The camera acts as an additional instrument within the performance.

“A_men Basquiat" was inspired by the music of Jason Moran. This composition is like a requiem for Basquiat, which came about from Jason Morans performance of “The Field of the Dead."

Dewey Redman, an expansive and poetic tenor saxophonist and bandleader who had been at the aesthetic frontiers of jazz since the 1960s, died on Saturday in Brooklyn. He was 75 and lived in Brooklyn.
