Greek Theatre and Gibson Amphitheatre Announce Summer Series

The Greek Theatre and the Gibson Amphitheatre have announced their forthcoming summer concert series for 2009, along with an expanded edition of their Premiere Marquee Club perks package.

Among the notable headliners this season at the Greek are alt-country siren Neko Case, chamber-folk auteur Andrew Bird, dapper soul man John Legend and globe-trotting folk veterans Gipsy Kings. The Gibson’s lineup includes crooner Frankie Valli, metal stalwarts Judas Priest and ranchero legend Vicente Fernandez.

Central Park Summerstage Sets Schedule

Feds Demand Prison for Guns N' Roses Uploader

Federal prosecutors in Los Angeles are pursuing a 6-month prison term for a Los Angeles man who pleaded guilty in December to one misdemeanor count of uploading pre-release Guns N' Roses tracks, according to court documents.

Defense Rests in Phil Spector Murder Retrial

Phil Spector's defense attorney rested his case Thursday in the music producer's murder retrial involving the shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson.

Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler advised Spector of his right to testify, but he chose not to take the stand in his own defense.
