Oct 2, 2009: Aretha Franklin's powerhouse 1971 performance from the Fillmore West highlights the download releases Wolfgang's Vault has posted today of some of the greatest women in music. Today's download releases also include Janis Joplin in 1969 and Bonnie Raitt from the Lenox Music Inn in 1973. Google Pulls Pirate Bay from Search Results

Walk the Plank The homepage of Pirate Bay disappeared from Googles search results Friday, after Google allegedly received a DMCA takedown notice targeting the site.

The move is unexpected because, while the Pirate Bay is rife with pirated material, the sites spare landing page contains no content to speak of just links, a logo and a search box. By law, DMCA notices are targeted to specific infringing content.

Amy Farris was much sought after for session and touring work. She also was a singer and songwriter who had come to L.A. from Austin, Texas, to pursue a solo career.
