Dealing with the songbook of Duke Ellington would seem to be the most daunting of tasks. Ellington was a tireless composer who wrote thousands of songs in his 50-year career, and his songbook is one of the thickest around, filled with dozens of jazz classics. The 53rd Annual Monterey Jazz Festival will feature a variety of jazz and blues greats for a total of 500 artist, performing on eight stages at the Monterey. California, Fairgrounds.

Apple Inc. shares have hit another all-time high now that it appears the iPhone could find a new sales outlet through Verizon Wireless. The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple plans to release an iPhone this year that would work on the network technology used by Verizon Wireless.
