Source:
Rifftides by Doug Ramsey
Irene Kral, Second Chance (Jazzed Media). Kral's stock in trade was perfectionof intonation, time, feeling, diction and lyric interpretation. Alan Broadbent became Kral's piano accompanist in 1974. Until her death four years later, they performed together on a plane of empathy rarely achieved in any genre of music. ...

String Theory in Action with Random Touch's "Reverberating Apparatus"
Source:
Glass Onyon PR - Keith James

String Theory suggests a universe comprised of music, of vibration itself. And serendipity seems a natural outcome of quantum mechanics. If there are eleven dimensions as M Theory proposes, then four or more of them play a role in the uncompromising and naked improvisation of this remarkable and serendipitous group. To ...

Source:
Music and More by Tim Niland
Guitarist and singer Joe Louis Walker has been a mainstay on the blues scene for many years, and this live album draws on the many friendships he has developed throughout his career. This album has several guest artists sitting in, but remains firmly Walker's show, and the high energy soulful blues is quite well done. Leading off with Slow Down GTO" the group moves as fast as Walker's tale of a wild car out of control, until he abruptly shifts ...

Belyamani is from Morocco, while Miniae is Iranian-American and Naqvi is Pakistani-American. Though the three all have strong Middle Eastern heritages, they cite influences as diverse as from Debussy and Shostakovich, to Coltrane and the Aphex Twins. When ...
