The Chris Greene Quartet to Release New Live CD "A Group Effort."
Source:
Two for the Show Media
Whenever the Chris Greene Quartet takes the stage, jazz and rock listeners notice something immediately: they're sitting next to each other, and that doesn't happen all that often on today's scene. As jazz strives to find new audiences, the CGQ is already admired for its ability to “cross over" and reach music-lovers raised on pop—but without “selling out" the formative principles of the jazz tradition. With several CDs and a DVD to their credit, the quartet now stands poised at ...

Since her 2004 recording debut, Tessa Souter has established herself as a fearless innovator in vocal jazz—“broadly imaginative” (New York Times), “expressive... full of passion” (Philadelphia Inquirer), “direct and soulful” (Village Voice). Matt Simons Releases Album "Pieces" In June
Source:
Lily Golightly
Inspired by a vast variety of artists, from Brian Wilson to Stevie Wonder, singer/songwriter/pianist Matt Simons pushes himself to grow beyond those influences to find his own voice and create his own sound. Often compared to Jamie Cullum, John Mayer and Adam Levine, Simons also infuses his piano based pop-rock with hints of jazz and R&B. Much of 2011 was spent on tour.
