The British Parliament was dissolved this week in preparation for a General Election on May 6. Thankfully this hasn't prevented the announcements of nominees for the 2010 Parliamentary Jazz Awards--the premiere British awards for jazz which recognise not only musicians and recordings but also journalists, venues and other vital aspects of a thriving jazz scene.
