Columbus, OH -- NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, announced that the Jazz Arts Group of Columbus (JAG) is one of 25 recipients worldwide to receive a NAMM Foundation Program Grant. The NAMM Foundation's 2010-2011 program grants will allocate $585,000 in funding to support innovative community-based music learning programs that allow more people the opportunity to experience the proven benefits of active music-making. The third Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song will be presented to Sir Paul McCartney at a special concert in the White House on June 2, it was announced by Librarian of Congress James H. Billington on Monday.
