(April 12, 2002 - Beverly Hills) -- The Los Angeles Music Network (LAMN) one of the leading professional education organizations devoted to the music industry, has reached an agreement with the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts that will promote career advancement and continuing education for the college's students and alumni.

The agreement will allow Berklee's undergraduates and alumni access to LAMN's career development opportunities, including its popular industry job listings and networking events.

“I am delighted to form an affiliation with the leading school of contemporary music in the country," said Tess Taylor, President of the Los Angeles Music Network. “Berklee provides an outstanding, real-world education to its students, and these are precisely the people our industry needs to maintain a competitive edge. We look forward to helping Berklee graduates ease into their careers and in so doing, help to raise the level of excellence in the music industry."

“Our students and graduates have a wonderful career resource at their service, in LAMN," according to Don Gorder, Chair of Berklee's Music Business/Management Department. “Whether they're sharpening their skills or building relationships, LAMN is the prime facilitator."

The Los Angeles Music Network, established in 1988, promotes career advancement, continued education and communication among music industry professionals. LAMN sponsors industry workshops, private dinners, parties and seminars with top executives; publishes The Network News which features interviews and business coverage of the music industry; and provides professional development opportunities and career services.
