Denise Jokinen was well known by many jazz musicians whom she met when she was a Jazz reporter at the Newport Jazz Festival or just when attending their performances.
A memorial ceremony will take place on January 5th at Riverside Memorial Church on west 76th street in Manhattan at 3PM. She leaves her son Allen Jokinen, his wife and her 2 grandsons who live in Boston.
